To start your journey, visit Pompey’s Pillar, an impressive Roman monument constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian during the 4th century. Originally associated with the ancient Temple of Serapis, this historic column reflects Alexandria’s rich Roman heritage.
Afterward, travel to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, one of the largest Roman-era cemeteries in Egypt. Carved into the rock across three levels, the underground complex features a fascinating combination of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman architectural influences.
